Tire dressings?

Ok what the hell I can only find extreme, super and high gloss. What happened to the nice low sheen black? And what is up with extreme shine with glitter!? I'm just going to use interior dressing on the tires . Anyone else notice this

Re: Tire dressings?

I find that this product works very well and I have tried a lot of stuff over the years . It says super shine on it but it all depends on the amount you apply I don't like a big shine either.
303 is a good one also
I have tried a lot of chemical guys products and they all seem to work good

Re: Tire dressings?

I use Dawn suds and a scrub brush. Just clean rubber like new, no shine

Re: Tire dressings?

I use Armor All Extreme Shine, BUT, I spray it on a sponge , wipe it on the tire let it sit for 5 minutes then wipe the excess off with an old wash cloth or microfiber towel. That leaves a nice satin black finish as you can see by the tire pic.

Re: Tire dressings?

^ I was thinking of a little tutu for the hubcaps.

Back on topic, I use Tire Shine, but knock it back by wiping with rags. Tires ain't supposed to be shiny.

Re: Tire dressings?

I thought he meant for a tire with a wound. Change often to avoid infection

I have used Tire Shine because that's what my son had. It wasn't shiny after wiping off the excess. I used to use Armorall when they only made one. Then I heard it can do more harm than good and I stopped.

Re: Tire dressings?

I spray it on and let it sit for about 5 minutes before wiping off the excess to dull down the shine some.

Re: Tire dressings?

Wife likes the Armor All tire shine but I wipe it off after 5-10 minutes to mute the shine and not sling any excess down the side of the rig later. I've also used Mothers VLR and some Chemical Guys Silk Shine. Just saw that VRP the other day and may give it a try at some point.

Re: Tire dressings?

I like Chemical Guys, but the bottle I use isn’t like the one pictured in a post before this one. My bottle is light blue.

Haha. The grocery budget is tight, so I tend to go for the house brand, but unfortunately it's more like 500 islands.

For tires, I still have a few bottles of no touch. That's the right satin finish for me. I don't know if they even sell that stuff anymore though. It's convenient on big truck tires.
