What foods do you dislike?

For me it's white rice. I can't stand it. It's like eating paste. I don't like grits or anything with hominy in it. Like Menudo.

My wife won't go near peanut butter. I love it but she won't touch it.

Anything that lived in water before it was time to eat it. My wife being Native American was raised eating mutton, she loves it. Me being pale faced was not. I don’t like it much either. I’ll eat most anything other than those.

Eh, response was to Tyler, but I took too long to write all this out. You mean you don't eat fish, or crawdads, or whatever? Or do they just have to be cooked? I'm not understanding the reply. I'll eat just about anything. However, there are foods I can no longer eat because of their effect on me. It's a crazy list-

-tomatoes
-onions
-any kind of peppers
-this means no more chili or salsa. I used to eat food so hot that my wife wouldn't sit at the table with me, because it burned her eyes.
-olives
-any citrus
-French fries (come on, really?)
-sushi- fish has to be cooked. If the sushi isn't kept cold enough for long enough, the parasitic worms can hatch and crawl up your esophagus. yeeeaahh, NO.

And I love eggplant and sauerkraut, especially my mom's crock-brewed recipe. Different strokes.

Yea I can see how that might be a bit confusing after re reading it… Ha, it made sense in my simple brain as I typed it. I don’t like anything that has ever lived in water prior to being cooked. Fish, seafood, etc. im not a fan. All I seem to ever taste is the bottom of the river or the ocean.

That sucks big time on not being able to eat chilis, I think I would die without my NM Green and Red, especially this time of year when they are being harvested.

Since Covid, no more ground beef. It tastes really bad so to confirm my theory, I went for a quarter pounder w/cheese. Almost blew chunks all over the dashboard.

I'm scared of liver and onions.

Cole slaw looks just like the table scraps we used to put in a covered 5 gallon bucket out in the sun to make slop for the hogs. Don't care what it may taste like. I aint puttin' that in my mouth.

I dislike running out of Ice Cream.

I neglected to put eggplant on my list. No eggplant for me either. My sister in law was Italian and cooked it all the time. I would eat a little to be polite and throw it out when she wasn't looking.

And the 3 day old hot dogs were still tasty. They just didn't sit well. I broke a couple of speed records running to the toilet.

I love liver and onions. But it doesn't smell too good and it's not too attractive. I can see how it would put some people off.

I wouldn't eat sour cream as a kid. Just because of the name. Who wants to eat cream that's gone sour? Now I slop it on everything.

I feel for you Steven. I can't eat any kind of melon anymore. Which is a real drag because I love watermelon and cantaloupe. Avocados too but I still eat them. The strange thing is that now they don't affect me anymore. I guess I beat that allergy.

I can eat apple pie with no problem but if I eat a raw apple it messes me up.

I take a LOT of smack for this, but NO to grits, greens, & okra. Somehow down here they think that is good stuff. Also, no to squid, Yankee grits (cream of wheat/rice), & squash. I prefer to say no to most American made sushi and sushimi. I guess I got spoiled living in Japan for so long. Just doesn't taste right most of it.

My wife is like you are with sushi. But with her it's catfish. She likes wild catfish and not so much the farm raised stuff.

i have been all over the world for work and the only thing i didnt "like" was the pig nose cartilage in shanghai. supposed to be a delicacy, or maybe it was just feed weird stuff to the new guy, i dunno it was chewy nothing to me.

if you dont like white rice and its like paste, try jasmine rice and cook it properly. i dont really care for sticky long grain white rice much either but jasmine is a staple here.

I do like Mexican rice. It has spice. Especially mixed up with refried beans and cheese. But just plain is a no go for me. My ex wife use to get Basmati rice probably just to torture me. I hated it.

Squid is one of those things too. It has absolutely no flavor and the texture of a rubber band.

Head meat is some of the best. I love Lengua (beef tounge) and head cheese. I know it sounds gross but it's so good.

I'm good with most of what has been listed already, but the added "done properly" needs to be there too.
Some of those things can be great or horrible, just depending on who did what to it.
I have never had sushi, it's not really a thing here, at least in my orbit.

I'm allergic to Grapefruit, so it works out, since I don't particularly care for it anyway.

Most of the stuff that many people don't like are fine by me. Broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, beets, beans, seafood, etc.

I went some years where I didn't eat any cantaloupe or water mellon as both of them tore me up bad. I can eat them again now, just not too much.

Cannot eat lima beans and peas also garbanzo beans, hummus is disgusting to me. My Grandma always made/used them. Loved her to death. Still hate them to this day. Love brussels sprouts, liver, spinach and some other odd things.
