'72 Pro Touring Convert

Looking at giving my '72 a Pro Touring makeover, I'm stuck on wheel size at the moment, traditional Pro Touring wheels should be 18"? 20" seem like they would take away from the handling aspect that the Pro Touring theme is going for. Thoughts?

I am just starting a 72 (el camino) project and purchased 18" fronts and 20" rears. The handling better part of the equation comes from less side wall to flex when cornering not to mention stiffer sidewall and more contact patch. Better handling does not mean more comfortable though. More sidewall like the old 15" tires has more flex and therefore a softer ride.

I cant find a set of 17" or 18" wheels for my truck that I truly love...

I hear you, seem like if you don't go the traditional 5 spoke style there isn't a whole lot of options available.

I just switched from 17's to these 18's!

Man, those are pretty spot on to what I'd like to get, what wheels are those?

Edit: I see now from another post that they are US Mag Ramblers, those wheels look much better in real life pictures then they do in the stock photo's.
