Re: WTB: One washer jar bracket for a auxiliary battery truck (pics attached)

I was at a show last weekend and thought of this thread while looking at an El Camino. Bracket looked the same from what I recall with the small vertical bolt position. Worth looking into for you guys who want one...

I believe it came off of a 1/2 on 2WD and oddly it was located just above the voltage regulator on the core support. And I feel like that was where it was originally installed (but just a guess).

I did have to straighten it out some, and it might need a little more massaging to get it looking correct, but it is close and the washer jar does fit into it correctly.

If anyone is interested let me know and I'll price it.
The bracket you have in your photo is from a 1964 - 1966 and maybe earlier years. My 64 has the identical bracket and it is mounted on the drivers side of the core support just above the voltage regulator.

It does have some similarities but not identical to the aux battery bracket.

Food for thought: Yesterday I had to up-size my alternator to 100 amp - the lower amp alternator wasn't cranking out enough juice to keep the batteries charged and the truck running. Now I have 13 plus volts to each battery (under 12 before to the main battery).
