Re: Finally starting the 68swb fleet

Looking good. Only have a few hundred hours to go then it will be ready for paint. lol

Seriously though, keep putting in the time on this tedious part and eventually you will have an excellent base for the paint.

Re: Finally starting the 68swb fleet

for sure hahaha, this is the point when I go "what did I get myself into?" atleast with the flat paint plan and the fact I'm going to rat bag this thing and enjoy it not show it I don't feel the need to go to an extreme on perfection, maybe when I find a little better base to start with

Re: Finally starting the 68swb fleet

2hrs or so of sanding left in the am and a shot of metal etch and she should be on the frame to test fit panels and hang doors to correct the cab corner lines tomorrow having the right tools really speeds things up, I'll post a few more tomorrow

I have over a 1000 posts just on my C-10 build thread and still have things left to finish on it. You're doing fine. The hard part is just keeping yourself moving forward and not letting it stall out into project purgatory. Every step is taking you closer to a completed truck.

Re: Finally starting the 68swb fleet

Nice progress must feel good to get the cab back on the frame and start bolting up body panels. Can't wait to get there with mine.

Re: Finally starting the 68swb fleet

definitely pumped, too bad I neglected to order the body bolts when I swapped to stepside so I shoulda done my porterbuilt firewall kit while I was waiting, but this has at the very least got me excited again so not a total loss, you'll be there soon I'm just not as picky

in my case it's not that I'm too picky, its that I change my mind to dam much and keep changing things. I need to stop changing things so I can finish it
