Where to find correct Tri Pod mirrors

Hi everyone, I just about have my 72 pickup all finished, but I need a set of side mirrors, I bought the 38-5820 from LMC, because the two lower factory holes in my door are below the upper moulding, but it ended up being some cheapie universal type mirror that I’d really have to bend to make it work, doesn’t look good. Bought a mirror from car-Id and pretty much same product. HELP

Need to post a pic of the doors. Do you need camper mirrors or DG4's, D29's? Once you find out what you need maybe become a member and post a WTB in the parts section.

You don't need a membership to cruise the parts board. You might find a set for sale.

72 DG4 mirror brackets are different from other years.

Re: Where to find correct Tri Pod mirrors

I have doors off a 1970 pickup. What is the difference between those part numbers you listed?

^^^ This holds true. You can also try a search, but check the date of the posts on the results you find. Could be 10 or more years ago.

They pop up occasionally. I bought a set summer of 19 haven't put them on yet but I'll get to it eventually

Yep. Found my D29s there a few years back. I believe it’s the best place to look. You sure aren’t going to find these at a vendor...

I recommend posting your want ad in the multitude of 1967-72 Facebook groups. It won't cost you anything and has better reach than this website. As an example, I found the elusive 1972 DG4 mirrors in a few days for $100 plus shipping.

Ok, I do have a post on here now, but I will go on Facebook and do that too, good idea. Thanks!

Re: Where to find correct Tri Pod mirrors

I have one complete set and parts of two more but I need your hole pattern to know if they match. The complete set is like the ones Mel posted on the green and white truck above.
