Spare Tire Mount Question

Can anyone tell me if this was something that was installed by GM either factory or dealer, an aftermarket or home grown? Thanks.

Re: Spare Tire Mount Question

Looks as one size fits all unit as it had many punched holes at the raised bracket..
Is that held on with rivets ?

But My truck didn't come with any spare hanger parts. so.. I might be way off..
but I don't think a factory piece would be punched with that many holes to make the part fit more vehicles..
Any name or numbers stamped in it..

Re: Spare Tire Mount Question

That looks like a spare tire bracket I bought from J.C. Whitney back in the 70s.
