55 - 59 Suburban body panel

I am looking for a good with no rust lower rear body panel for the 55-59 Chevy/GMC Suburbans that used the clamshell tailgate. This is the sheet metal panel that fits directly under the lower clamshell gate and connects the two rear quarter panels across the lower back of the Sub. This piece also includes a structural brace that connects the two parts of the rear of the frame for structural purposes to mount the tailgate hinges. Thanks, Mark N, Knoxville TN

Hello and welcome to the board. While this isn't a "want to buy" thread, per se, the members will have you to locate a supplier from which you might be able to purchase the part(s) you are looking for. If you want to post a "want to buy thread" please look here, http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a....php?f=14&a=17

Enjoy the site!!!

I tried to do a WTB and it looks like I don't have permission for that. Any next steps I need to complete? I don't have any specific vendors in mind as these parts will be super rare, and I'm just looking for any ideas as to what to do and where to go. Thanks, Mark

I hope you are able to find the part you need. There are many helpful folks here. That said, like mr48chevy stated, you have to be a paying member to post a WTB ad. It might be worth it to do so. Besides, you would be helping to sustain this site and all the valuable info on it.

You have to be a paid/ supporting member to post want adds either to buy or sell. It keeps the guys who just show up to post free adds at bay.

That said I have never seen that piece available in the aftermarket.

Check with Wes at Www.classicheartbeat.com if one exists as a replacement piece he will know about it. He is one of our vendors on the vendors list and I know he has rebuilt a couple of burbs and or panels in his shop.
