GMC Suburban Tailgate Emblem...need a mold to reproduce!

Any forum members have a GMC Suburban Pickup and want to make a silicone mold of their tailgate emblem for me? I'll buy a kit and ship it to ya.. I want to make a reproduction emblem for my tailgate which is missing the emblem.

I may have a bunch made as well in case anyone else needs one or wants a backup.

Thanks in advance!

Without the tailgate emblem he's not gonna get in.

That's when I bought mine! But it was only $75 and no beer.

Re: GMC Suburban Tailgate Emblem...need a mold to reproduce!

Well, crap. A reproduced tailgate emblem appeared on eBay back in June, and I totally missed it. $850 for the repop!! Sadly I'd have strongly considered paying it as who knows how long until another guy lets go of one he is stashing away...

At this point, I'm willing to take even dimensions?? If someone could just measure theirs? Trace it on some paper?

Re: GMC Suburban Tailgate Emblem...need a mold to reproduce!

It would be sweet if someone had one and a 3D printer and made a few …. It would certainly pay for the printer in short order .

Then one could take the printed emblem to a foundry and have a mold made and a new emblem poured and chrome plated … just a thought .

Damm why didn’t I think of that when mine got screwed up by the plater , oh ya at that time 3D printers were $$$$$$$ .

Oh poo I could have been more proactive about getting the damaged emblem back but the flood didn’t help and the plater moved and I lost contact .
Had I got it back , now that I think about it I could have filled the hole with Bondo and had a mold made and a new casting made . But little did I know how rare this emblem was !

Sorry about that Dave . It’s true hindsight is 20 20 .

Is the same emblem used for the hood opening or are they different?
