Is there a sticky for having the list of tools to do certain jobs on our truck?
I was just wondering if we had a place to put what we use to do work on the truck.

Like I just pulled the cluster out of the ramp truck to see what had happen to the tach. It stopped working about month ago. Got it out and one of the studs is broken inside. I can pull it out but it's not hooked to anything it just spins.

Here is what I used.

Ratchet with extension and 1/2” socket.
For loosening the column up.
Pliers for the speedometer cable if it’s tight.
Large Philips head screw driver for dash screws under the dash.
Small Phillips head for cluster screws.
Small flat blade for wiper knob.
8 mm wrench for factory oil line.
Needle nose pliers for head light & wiper collar removal.
Remember to disconnect the battery before you pull the head light switch out. Mine is a 10mm nut but the size will be different depending on the cable used.

To get the cluster a part once out of the truck.

1/4 drive ratchet with extension and 1/4” socket for the outer screws and grounds. The back panels also. (note) You don't have to take the out screws out if removing the back panels, just the printed circuit so you can get to the 1/4" screws.
Then a 5/16” socket for the nuts holding the printed circuit to the cluster.
You have the twist lock bulb holders also. You have to be careful taking the instrument nuts loose.

I have often thought about a (must have) list of tools to keep in the truck while driving.

Yes they are handy and I have both but not snap on brand.
