New from Alabama

Alright this aint my first post, but Im still new and I jsut found this area. I am 16 and drive a 1991 GMC Sierra SWB, regular cab, step-side. I put the truck in a pond pretty much around January this year and I just now got enough money for a new motor. It had the 5.7 350 in it, now it has a 5.0 305 HO with a 4 barrel Holley carb on it. Still needs a trans though. Well here it is, post your thoughts of some ideas for it. And yes that ugly SOB standing in front of the truck is me.

Where is chilton? Never heard of that. But my dad pretty much makes me do all the work cause he wants me to learn. Some of it is fun but some of it sucks.

It's half-way between B'ham and Montgomery. It's where the peaches are grown.

And your dad is a good man! My thinking is if the truck breaks down w/ the kid driving it, he'll be better equipped to repair it on the spot if he knows how it was put together. If it can't be repaired on the spot, he can call his dad and tell him what he needs as far as parts or a trailer. (And all his buddies have to go to Xpress to have their oil changed.)

Re: New from Alabama

Thats cool, I might have seen him drive by or something. Here in Hartselle most people can reconize my truck out of everyones. So he would be able to tell ya if he has seen me driving or something.
