Re: 1988 v30 3+3

The front bumper was chrome and bent. So, I found a nice set of bumpers from a CUCV and painted them Massy Ferguson gray. I don't think I will keep them gray. I will probably paint them white.

Thanks! It's going to stay "original" as much as possible.

Thanks!

It's a 6.2 diesel, TH400 and NP205.

Mine drives and runs good...I enjoy driving it.

Thank you! It's not perfect, but it's a good start.

What's the best rubber company for door seals? I've heard good things about SoffSeal, but they don't have a product for this truck. I've read mixed reviews on Precision Weatherstripping. Steele Rubber seems to offer a good product, but I haven't read many reviews on their product.

Cool truck! Try searching for Honda Civic door seals on here. See what you think.

I did. There's a very interesting thread on Honda Civic seals working well on 67-72 years. I wonder if anyone has tried them on 73-87 years.

Steele rubber is the best option in my opinion. Most others you have to slam the doors forever after the new seal is installed; they don’t seem to ever “relax”. Nothing is as soft as the originals that I’ve seen yet.

Re: 1988 v30 3+3

Nice truck! I can’t remember what door seals I bought, but a few months after I installed them I adjusted the door striker again after the rubber softened up a little. When I first put the new rubber in I could hardly get the door closed without moving the striker. So if it’s too tight with the new seals just adjust the striker and you can always move it again later. I think I got the weather stripping from LMC. It’s been in there about 10 years now and holding up fine.
