mid 80s to 1976 engine, trans, NP203 swap

Would this be a easy change or more complicated than Im thinking. Have a chance to purchase all 3 together for a good price instead of buying a separate transmission and rebuilding the original 400. Engine has not been started in over 30 years, but was stored inside.

All depends on your skill level and what you want. Personally I'd keep the 400, clean it up and roll with it. I'd then go to a T400 or 4l80 and a 205

thanks for the input, I am mechanically inclined. Was a machinist my whole life before retiring. Have the cab ready to be lifted off frame so the installation will be a little easier. Is there any chance the engine will start? It does turn by hand and oil has been put in the cylinders periodically.
