64 C20 Help - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I'm sure this question has been asked numerous times, but I couldn't find what I was looking for in a search.

I have a 64 C20 2WD fleet side long box that I want to update the brakes, rear end, and power steering. Also interested in dropping the truck a couple of inches. I have a couple questions:

1. Is there a donor vehicle out there that these parts would interchange with my vehicle?
2. Does it have to be a ¾ ton, or will a ½ ton work?

Any information or suggestions would be appreciated.
