I put a TransGo shift kit in a junkyard 4l80 and bolted it behind my 396 with a HGM controller. Its shifts like a dream. HGM has a new Bluetooth controller for about $800 that utilizes your phone instead of their more expensive stand alone display.

just another option.

To the original question, 400 Turbo w/gv...700r4 aint even an option behind a big block. IMO...
