Under Hood Electrical Components

In my 70 C10 there is hardly any room under dash for components.
I have a Dakota Digital cruise control for my DBW LC9 engine along with other things that I would like to move under hood to clean up the rats net of wiring.

Anyone know of some type of covered 'box' that could be used to house electrical components?

Tried searching but can't seem to find anything.

Thanks

Re: Under Hood Electrical Components

A simple google search for "water proof electronics enclosure" turned up quite a few results for me. Excluding "water proof" turned up others.

Re: Under Hood Electrical Components

There was a guy on this forum selling brackets that mounted to the top of the steering wheel mount behind the gauge cluster. It worked great for installing all the Dakota Digital components. I would have to do a search to see if I can find out which member it was. I also don’t have my vehicle here to take a picture of it. It’s not an enclosure but you wouldn’t need one behind the gauge cluster.

Re: Under Hood Electrical Components

Just make sure the components are rated for the under hood temps. While cabs can get 140+ on a hot sunny summer day, under hood temps can get to the high side of 200.

It would take some modification but a surplus military ammo can might work.
