6000 CFM dual fans! MASSIVE!!!

I'm building a couple kits for members on other forums as well so I thought I'd share some pics today! This fan kit will consist of:

(1) F150 dual 14" fan assembly rated @ 6000 CFM static and draws on average 36A on high speed-again, this is a massive fan assembly in terms of power! With some trimming, this entire shrouded fan setup measures 32x18x6.5 inches. This will cool anything you've got!

Powering this fan will be my own 4-bank relay harness design which will control both fans to run low, medium and high speed. Nobody else offers anything like what I've put together. This harness is similar in design to my Mark VIII 3-speed fan harness but on steroids! You won't find anything more powerful or as well built for a relay based control system. If anybody wants/needs more info, PM me or post here. I'll be adding more pics later today....

There are 6 wires to route:

Battery Power-or more accurately a common 12V junction

Chassis Ground

Switched IGN source

Low temp switch trigger

Medium temp switch trigger

AC high speed override

G, I like your design and workmanship a lot. I may need more cooling on my '72 C20, but I need to do the obvious stuff first, like check the thermostat, have the radiator cleaned out, flush the block, blah blah.

Do you have a recommendation for the low and high temp sensors on our GM trucks?

I'm a wiring geek and I'd like to point out to other members that gmachinz does his connections right, with heatshrink over the terminals and waterproof connectors. Nice work.

Thanks for the kind words! I use a 212/202 for low and a 228/218 for medium or high speed depending on the fan(s) harness to be used. Keep in mind this does not reflect actual engine operating temperature-merely the point at which the switch grounds. I also use a dual temp BMW 190/185 switch also. No matter the method I employ the engine temp isnusually always around 185-190 in the summer which is what I prefer anyway-thebplacement of the switches depending on whether they are in the head, intake, water pump or radiator (or upper hose adapter tube) can affect the temperature at which the switch goes to ground-there's really a lot of options for placement.

I know stock a black anodized aluminum upper t-stat adapter for use with the BMW dual temp switch-so now there's no worry about where to drill/tap since most blocks (including LS) either don't have, or don't have an easy access 14mm threaded coolant bung to use. Well, this is an easy method for fan activation!

I never knew there were multiple fan speeds, always thought it was just low and high and high was automatic with AC, or one fan for low and both on for high. Wiring looks great and way beyond my skillz.
