Alternative alternator bracket?

I have to stock 2 piece alternator bracket, and it's a total pain in the ass. The long top provides almost no support and the alternator ends up vibrating violently. I've been driving with it for a year now so it's not an emergency, but it pisses me off. Another thing, the bracket is not long enough to completely clear my valve covers, so the alternator rests on the side of the cover. When it vibrates it makes a loud metallic clanking noise that... is less than ideal.
I'm just wondering if anyone has had this problem and what they did to solve it? On another note, I added an aluminum bracket (piece of 1/8" sheet, bent and twisted) to the back of the alternator extending to the #1 cylinder exhaust bolt. It helps a tiny bit but not enough to make the alternator stop vibrating and rattling against my cover. Will include pics later.
