New carpet finally!!

I finally got some new carpet. I bought some from Stockinteriors.com. I also got their "mass backing" feature. It is molded to the floor almost perfect. I really like how it fit! It fit fine at the firewall side, had about 2 at the rear and about 3" overhang at the doors. I trimmed it to fit nicely at the gas tank brackets. Now to put in the chrome sill plates. Oh, i paid 286 shipped i think, will have to double check. Super easy.

Re: New carpet finally!!

That looks great. I did the same thing in 2012. Couldn't be happier.

Re: New carpet finally!!

Thanks for the compliments guys! It was super easy. I just have to cut a few slits for the pegs at the firewall side to keep it from shifting there. I only got one cut from my knife too, lol. I couldn't believe how well it was formed to the floor. That company did a good job. It came in an ACC box, so it could be a dropped shipped carpet from them. Not sure really. I can't find my shipper so not sure.

One thing to note: I kept this in my living room for 2 weeks spread out like it was going to lay on the cab floor. I even propped up the firewall side. This thing came all folded up, so it need a little R&R before working with. I took it to my 50* garage and didn't have much trouble with it. I was surprised.

It is heavy tho. I didn't use any kind of adhesive. I want to see if it will stay without it first. It has something called "Mass Backing" It seems to be a rubberlike surface. So we'll see how it works out. And it isn't too thick either.

Good news too! It was $210 shipped to my door. I highly recommend this to you guys. The part #373 at Stockinteriors.com. I have a low hump floor too.

Hey, Rideblue. What truck is this going in? Looks interesting. Is it the CC in your avatar?

Re: New carpet finally!!

Its just a 66 c10. My avatar pic is of an emblem that came from my gramps 66. Its all gone now, the cab on his was completely wasted. A victim of salt cancer. I have a 66 c20 that I thought I might turn into a CC, but I dont know. At the rate im going on the c10, it might not get done till after im dead, lol.

Re: New carpet finally!!

That hugs the tunnel much better than mine. Did it have a hole for the headlight switch?

Re: New carpet finally!!

It hugs the tunnel great. No there were no holes in it, so I have a few to put in.
