BB in a LWB?
Well I have this BB sitting in the shop with no home and was wondering if the old LWB truck would handel it. The engine was dynoed at 585 horse power. I have seen some LWB trucks with stroker motors but no big motors. Is it even worth the time? Or would I end up with a nice looking truck with no rear axle underneath it![IMG]

They did come with big blocks...and I'm sure your rear would hold up, for a while anyways.
I have seen stock rears hold up to high 12 second passes, and tons of street time. Ole boy drove that truck for almost 20 years and totaled it in 2000. the whole time he had it, it was never slower than mid 13's. Never had a single problem with the rear. |

I have a 402 in my LWB, why would it be different than an SWB?

got a 454 in a LWB 72 12 bolt richmond r/p auburn posi only prob is no traction at the moment...
motor isnt built that much yet though either...

you worry too much, as long as pinin nut on that axcle stays put you iwl be fine, unless you run slicks and locker and get too much of a bite at too much RPM launch,
go for it, wish i had such an engine around sitting, damn, |

the 454 in the 69 goes pretty well. goes through u-joints everyonce and a while though
