54 3100 conversion leaf spring kit help

I知 have a stock 54 3100 pickup truck. The project is to keep stock ride height, a mild V8, 700R4, 67-69 C10 rear axle, front disc brakes, 6 lug wheels.
I知 searching for the rear axle assembly, complete drum to drum. I知 looking for softer ride leaf springs from and rear in the stock ride height plus the rear spring conversion mounting brackets/shackles/shocks/hardware to change from a torque tube to an open driveshaft. No lowering springs because I want to keep the stock, nice survivor truck look.
Do you guys know where I can find what I need? I知 actively searching but have not yet found what I知 looking for. Thank you very much for any help.

Re: 54 3100 conversion leaf spring kit help

Someone on here has done it and I keep looking under my old Dodge mini van at the rear leaf springs that are a total bolt on on the mini van. Meaning that you can unbolt the brackets from the van and from the axle and have spring and the mounting brackets in one package.

From having the 85 Mini Ram panel van and a 91 Grand Caravan there are two lengths of springs depending on the wheelbase of the van or possibly because the Grand Caravan was all wheel drive.

They are worth looking under and checking out and most pick a part yards or yards that let you in should have a few.

Maybe the person who runs them will post the link or someone who remembers the thread will post.

There is a thread here about the caravan springs. Plus one guy used Jeep Cherokee springs that can often be found cheap from a guy who lifted his Cherokee and one guy used S-10 springs that are easy to find and as he said the trucks weigh about the same in the rear.

Re: 54 3100 conversion leaf spring kit help

I measured my chassis today and looked online for the length of AD rear springs and the stock AD rear springs are 52 inches and the short wheelbase 84/95 Dodge mini ram van rear springs are 52 inches long and 2-1/2 inches wide.

Re: 54 3100 conversion leaf spring kit help

I got curious this morning as to how close the springs on the 85 Dodge mini ram cargo van that I have will fit. It's just a 35 dollar storage shed right now but I need to get go through what is in it and use or move what I have stashed in it.
The springs can go under my 48 and the axle can go under a smoker that my son in law wants to build.
