Re: What brought you to this website?
Found it one day and never left. Parts bought and sold contacts made the best ever. Always enjoyed the humor of some and the most valuable knowledge that's here Close to retirement so hope to be on more.

Re: What brought you to this website?
Buying, selling trading and the love of these awesome trucks. My 1st was a 69 LWB with 3 on the tree at 14 years old. Been hooked on them ever since.

What brought me here? My computer
Why did I join? I was looking for info on my 1972 Jimmy 12 years ago. I found that information and a lot more. Best source of parts, information, and decent people that I have been able to find!

Oh yeah, 15 asterisks. That was a great place. Too bad it's gone.
You have me curious now. Can you space each letter so it will show?

Re: What brought you to this website?
I found it in a search for casting numbers for a small block. At this point, I can't remember whether it was heads or block though? It was for a '70 Nova project that I was working on with my brother. It was a resto-mod of a car that our grandmother bought new, but had an inline 6 from the factory.

Re: What brought you to this website?
I lurked for 15 years before joining. Was following the wonderful bunch that worked on Underhaulin' and Frizzle Fry on his Tahoe as well as others. I finally joined in 2016 trying to win the Truck of The Month in a contest that my beat up old '67 stepside qualified for. Since then I sold that truck and bought a '68 Suburban and also gotten a '35 pickup. I love this site.

Re: What brought you to this website?
I just had to go look, 2003! I was on some other forums, Chevytalk and Team Chevelle. My dad had his old Yellow truck, and I saw this place and joined to be part of another forum. Then in 2009, we got serious about fixing up his truck, and went to the Midwest Nats and saw the good time the Midwest Crew was having, and it was a big motivator to get it together and get in there so we could join the party. Life loosened up again, and in '12 we started the resto, and the Old Yeller thread. Spent a lot of time on here with the good folks since. Made some real life good friends and got to do things I never would have thought possible. Also a great place to store memories, since Dad passed at Christmas. Thanks for the good times.

Re: What brought you to this website?
I was 16 and bought my 78 pickup as my first vehicle while in high school. Needed to know how to make it more bad ass. I have no idea how I actually came to this site, but I knew I was staying once I got here.

It always amuses me that there are members here from before Liz.

Re: What brought you to this website?
Yeah, I remember that, but I don't remember what her name actually was?
The change was a "thing" though. It's been so long now though, I'm not sure if it even was a "change" or she just started fresh with a new name? Thus the higher number? Thinking about it, that can't be the case, I remember the change, so it can't be a fresh account. TBH, I'm surprised that no one had asked about how I know what those numbers are. This was explained lonnng ago.

Re: What brought you to this website?
It was a few years ago. Never bothered to look at my member #. I just looked was surprised to see I was the #142 person to join the forum. Just hover mouse over the user name and the member number is the number at the end of the link that appears at bottom of page. As to why I joined, probably just looking for information on how to fix my truck and also interact with people that like the same things I do.

Re: What brought you to this website?
If I remember correctly I was searching info on Longhorns and had found this place after being on Longhorn man's website. This place has lead me to many great people and places. It would be cool to have more get togethers like we did in the past.
