Re: Snake catching?

Thanks. She was parading her catch to the excavator crew that was here ahead of breaking ground for some more garage space. I promised her we’d go catch more together this weekend. Good times.

Re: Snake catching?

Here's what arrived today. The enclosure is made corrugated plastic like campaign signs. Big sticky pad goes inside.

Re: Snake catching?

I hate to tell yall but black snakes don't get rid of the poisonous ones. I have a couple of 4-5 foot blacks around the yard and usually dispatch 1-2 copperheads per year. They actually tend to take different parts of the yard as their territory.

Yikes. I thought that they just went after them. Oh well. I only have an acre and a half. Maybe they'll take it all as territory. I haven't seen any rattlesnakes. Just king snakes but they never seem to stick around.

I agree with this.

Found this on the Net.
So it must be true.

Black snakes can be useful in keeping away the poisonous snakes, especially in farms and homesteads. Venomous snakes are aggressive and can easily bite anyone startling them. For instance, a black racer snake often hunts and eats poisonous snakes in N. America.

Black snakes cover my whole property .
So I guess I am lucky
