A video of the thing...K5 Tahoe.

.
These conversions have been seen here but I don't recall any shots of the engine bay, door jams and rear hatch opened...as seen in this vid below:

https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1073074453110380

Looks like quality work to me but only a drive at speed would really make it known if all those openings seal the cabin back up properly when closed. Otherwise it's a Tahoe on the inside.

Well a loaded Tahoe is probably 50k to 60k then remove and replace all the outer body skins, metal work, paint, wheels/tires, suspension...

Could put about any price on it as long as somebody's willing to spend the money, but... I suspect 100k minimum.

Re: A video of the thing...K5 Tahoe.

That monstrosity has appeared on Facebook several time in the last year
Although I do admire the fabrication skills...I'm not a fan
The biggest reason is that the lines for the top don't match the body lines at all
It looks like someone just cut the top off a Tahoe and welded it on a K/5 Blazer
No thanks

I wasn't crazy about it from just the pics. But after seeing this video, it really is pretty slick - I'd roll in it!
I did notice the hood hinges & how neat & simple they are ... I would like something like that on my '72 instead of the big bulky OE ones.

Re: A video of the thing...K5 Tahoe.

While the top is somewhat at odds with the rest of it, I could probably get used to it in time....

Besides, how many of us have said at one time or another, wouldn't it be nice if they made a modern vehicle with truly vintage, period-correct sheet metal rather than something "retro" that badly misses the mark?

I kinda like it, I can't afford it so it doesn't matter anyway.

My sentiments too -- the same could be said about a whole lot of vehicles!!

Re: A video of the thing...K5 Tahoe.

If they could correct the windshield angle I'd like it. But, I'd rather just have a clean original anyways, it's just not the same.
