Re: Why???

People no longer care about feelings, or being labeled rude, so they share what they really think vs biting their tongue as was taught back in the day.
This isn't a "everyone gets a trophy" page, its a page to share perspectives. If someone doesn't like something, and would do it another way, maybe someone else comes along who didn't think of that other way and likes it too. This is different then just clowning on something for being what they think is dumb.

Re: Why???

This board has always been a great place to garner information and ideas. I am sort of a fan of ingenuity and when I saw that water valve, I thought, cool idea!. When I saw the one offered by autozone I then had to think of which one I'd prefer and still haven't decided.

I have made a lot of my own parts for my truck (70 C30) often because I didn't know an alternative was available. So I like the posts wherein someone has devised their own mousetrap so to speak.

Didn't one of the big three use a tomato can for an evap canister?

Re: Why???

Keyboard cowboys brother. People feel safe behind the screen and will give you their "expert" opinion.

Honestly I'd love to build cars that upset the masses. Uncommon engine swaps and stuff like that. Just remember "you can't please everyone, but you can try to piss off everyone" and that right there is a beautiful thing.

Gm did too actually, I had one from a GM car on my K20 for a good while before I swapped it back to the correct setup.
