I personally wouldn't cut up an intact original LWB, since there are sooo many failed projects out there already, but to each his own. This is a hobby for me. No one likes to lose $ and we all like to make some, but I've been very lucky, so $$ is irrelevant to me. I do admire though, those w/the skillset/patience etc to do these sorts of things.

I like it! That is how I got my 72 Super, guy bought it to shorten, but decided it was too nice of a pickup. Worked well for me.

Cleaned up some green DPs since the ones in the truck had speaker holes.

Working on restoring the wood inserts. I'll post progress

Sprayed the panels with OER Dark Green interior paint fromClassic Industries. took about 1 can, cost about $15

Used 3M Di-NOC Vinyl from eBay for the woodgrain, 15" x 3', about $30. Hair dryer to work the corners

Used a thin silver Deco Color paint marker for the matte silver in the insert. about $4 at the local art shop.

0000 steel wool to clean up the chrome trim

Thanks!. The flash from the photo makes the console top look a little lighter, but they are a great match for the factory saddle color.

The rest of the interior pieces (door panels and armrests, dash pad, headliner, carpet) will be the factory 72 dark green

i think the saddle seats and console will look good against all the green and the wood accents

Polished Slots -- Can't decide if I want to go staggered or not. These are 15x8.5 all around

I do have some 15x10s but they are not exactly the same. At a minimum, I'd need to drill holes for the center caps

The 8.5's will look fine, but, you can't go wrong with the 10's on the back.

I bought a 72 Cheyenne brand new, and immediately put a set of 15x 8.5 Appliance wheels on it.

the paint on the bed cleaned is up too. i'll need to scuff it up to 'match' the rest of the patina... and of course get the trim back on

hopefully i'll have some time this weekend to work on it

but i'm liking how it's coming together so far
