My 61' C10 short bed step has just white paint on the rooftop. Was that correct on a base model truck? gpk1961

Did it myself but that was a long time ago. Now I'm in the process of doing it again in a solid color.

Why did you decide to go with a solid color?

It's a lot easier to do, two tone is almost like painting it twice with all the masking and stuff and also after 12 or so years I'm ready for a change. Its going to be vanilla milkshake white with black wheels,a and the same white as it has now for the grille , bumpers, and stripe around the grille opening.

What is the difference between the milkshake white and the white for the grill? A few shades darker? Is that just for contrast?
