Covers for restored trucks

So I am not planning to drive my restored 70 all the time so when now driving I want to keep it covered. What brand covers are the best for our trucks?

I am expecting a delivery today or tomorrow of a cover king armor tech.

I have a Cover Craft, I think it was called the Noah. It has a really soft inner layer.

I like it.

My truck stays inside a garage.

I am also going to be dealing with this as I will be parking my truck outside. I plan on erecting a carport, but the additional protection of a quality cover would be great! I look forward to reading posts by those who have purchased quality covers to see how they are reviewed.

My truck will always be stored inside either in my garage or my at my parents house inside dads shop. Here is my truck. I swapped my corvette this morning with the truck so I could bring it home and drive it some. I really need a shop to store the truck and car.

I bought an expensive car cover for my truck that was made to fit, but the wind caused it to rub back and forth a little and it rubbed off the clear coat on all four corners

I've been pleased with Carcover.com (https://www.carcover.com/chevrolet/c...-long-bed.html). I went with the "Bronze Shield 2L. Fits well. Always in my garage but covered during the winter months.

I have tried a couple of car covers over the years and have found they are not real effective at keeping dust off your paint, it still gets between the cover and paint then the above happens.

Now I just let the dust settle then wash it when I'm ready to drive it.
Besides nothing shines like a freshly washed ride.

Mine too.

I throw one bed sheet over the top, one over the hood, with strips for the bed sides.

The best place to keep a vehicle is a climate controlled garage. Of course we all can’t have that.
With that said, be aware that a “Cover” is not always the perfect answer.
It’s been said that the worst thing you can do to an old vehicle is cover it up with a “weather proof” cover.
Not only will the wind cause rubbing in various areas, the sun will actually “cook” the paint and interior, much like putting a cover on a bake pan in the oven.

I know all about using covers. I have owned multiple black corvettes over the years and never had an issue keeping the paint flawless using a cover. I will probably end up with a cover from California car covers since I have used them in the past.
