White Top 67 Truck Questions... Pics Needed...

Planning on doing a white top on my 67 since I have to do some roof repairs and someone else stripped the paint off the roof and back of cab, and Im curious if anyone has any pictures or insight into how they did this in 67. I know the 69-72 did the a pillars and doors, and (I think?) 68 did the pillars and doors too..

The pics I have attached are from an old thread, and it appears they painted the 'bow' above the windshield white as well. Does anyone have any pics to confirm or deny this? Really want to keep with the original idea.

The white was painted up to the inside lip, the drip rail was NOT painted.

Adding the bottom white adds to the truck as well. Not my truck.

The simplest answer is usually the truth, someone painted it over it's lifetime. Could have been a dealer doing an update to sell a 67 as a 68, or someone had to do a repair during it's lifetime.

Kyle -- Your blue GMC truck is a '68.
A] '68 grille, with letters on the hood, not a white faced grille with central letters.
B] Panoramic rear window [special order on '67s, but standard on '68s.]
C] Side Marker Reflectors. Required by Federal regulations in Model Year 1968. '67s don't have them.

Question: When you pull out the Headlight Switch, do the Parking Lights come on with the first notch, then go out when the knob is fully pulled but the Headlights stay on? If Yes, it's a '67.
If the Parking lights stay on and become Running lights along with the headlamps, then it's a '68.

Sorry to interrupt. My '67 Suburban and '68 Stepside are one color, so I'm no authority on two-tone color schemes.

Here are pics of my '67. Never touched or molested. 42,000 miles on it... It was a PA farm truck so it has some bumps and bruises.

Not trying to hijack this 2-tone thread. My 67 is parking lights on first notch, headlights without parking lights on second notch.
