No problem, we decided to go under the axle and referenced exhaust systems built by the roadstershop. We tested to make sure the axle wouldn't hit the exhaust by jacking the truck up until the axle hung down and tires came off the ground.

Re: College restoration. My 71 c10

In the process of adding rear disk brakes I realized that my stock rims will not work with the new brakes and the calipers. Meaning that I needed to pick out some new wheels! I ended up going with a set of US Mags Ramblers. I got 20x9.5 in the rear and 20x8 up font. I coupled the rims with some Nitto N555 295/40 in the rear and 245/40 up front. I’ll post some more photos when I wrap up the front brakes!

Re: College restoration. My 71 c10

Took my first big drive in the truck yesterday. Drove from Houston area to Ft Worth. The drive took about 5 1/2 hours as I was avoiding the major freeways (Truck is not street legal yet) . The drive went great and I had no issues at all, smooth as a babies bottom. Was extremely rewarding to be able to drive the truck I have poured my blood, sweat, and tears into for the past 5 1/2 years. Snapped a couple pictures, my favorite was a pic in the wild flowers off the side of the Highway!

Re: College restoration. My 71 c10

Yeah buddy! The harder the task the sweeter the reward. Do you plan on coming up this way again? Maybe for C10 Nationals or for the Pate Swap meet? (Both of those events are at the Texas Motor Speedway in May) There is also the "C10's in the park" event in Waco in September. It'd be cool to see your truck in person.

Question about your Slosh bucket seats... did you get your seat foam from Slosh and if so which option? standard or custom?

I am planning to be at c10 nationals in May! I have already purchased my event registration so look for me there. In regards to the slosh buckets I did not purchase the foam from Sloshtubz. I had a local FT With shop, PG Upholstery, do all the foam and vinyl work. They were able to add bolstering and customize my fabric preferences. I actually ended up going with PG Upholstery on the recommendation from Sloshtubz, they told me that PG is who they outsource their upholsteries too.

Re: College restoration. My 71 c10

Took me a long time, I hated drilling holes in the truck, but I completed installing the trim on the truck. Crazy how much of a difference trim makes.
