Cameo vanity plate

I was in the parking lot at work (Lowes) today and there was a grungy old van/box truck with zero writing on it, business signs etc, and it had a vanity plate CAMEO. I was thinking there must be some Cameo owner that would really love to have that plate and would go upside down if he saw it on this van/box truck.

I had RATPACK on my 61 Lincoln convertible, I think it fit the car. I kept the plate after I sold the car and licensed it on another non running car just so I could keep the plate and maybe someday have an appropriate car for it. Finally got tired of paying for it, wasn't actually ever on a running car for years. My son said he didnt want me to let it go back in to the available plates state wide so I transferred owner ship to him. He has it on his Audi A10. Hardly fits the car. Im sure someone would love to have it for their appropriate ride.

Re: Cameo vanity plate

In our state, if you get a vanity plate, you can keep it forever if you meet two criteria.
A. You must display it on a currently lisensed vehicle
B. If you sale said vehicle, you have 6 mos to lisense
another vehicle with that plate. If you do not, you forfeit the plate.

That guy may have sold his cameo and is looking for another one.
Let's hope so. Like you said, that is a plate to lust after if you have a Cameo.

Re: Cameo vanity plate

What does Cameo mean on social media?
Cameo is a platform that connects celebrities to their fans through their site and their app. Cameo allows users to pay certain celebrities for customized shoutout videos to share on their social media platforms.

I'll bet it was some of those van life patreon seeking permenant vacation living you tuber / tic tockers looking for free wifi to upload their most recent life on the road videos ? or just a free place to sleep

Re: Cameo vanity plate

You might have been looking at the work vehicle owned by a proud Cameo owner right there. It's like a Harley sticker on the back window of your Chevy. Or the bumper sticker that says, "My other vehicle is a...". All the people out there we see driving every day and we don't know what their 'other' vehicle is. He probably has a Y.O.M. on his cameo, if he has one.

For me, vanity plates are for newer vehicles, if I ever got one. The cool thing for classics are Y.O.M. or even straight up historic tags. Maryland doesn't offer the 'vanity' option for historic tags. I have Past 90 on my '90 Heritage Softail I put a 96" motor in. I haven't gone historic with that registration yet.
