And Putin wasn't invading Ukraine, either. Right? This country has been in bed with China for a quite a few presidents at this point. All about money, like gambling in Vegas

I have a customer that's looking to have some parts made from a special plastic.
In trying to source it, I called several suppliers other than my regular guy.
When I asked about availability, a couple of them just laughed...."we can't get the resin...from China"..
We are sold out to the Chinese for kickback and crack money for the "Big Guy"...whoever that is?

It should have been taken down when it entered US airspace when there was a very little chance of it hitting populated areas . US and Canada did nothing

Re: Spy Ballon

this is crazy.i know our guys were watching too, same excuse, didn't want to shoot it down in case the wreckage hit somebody???i'm sure there's a zillion miles of remote country side accross Canada's north where they could've brought it down and hit nothing but a spruce tree?

Re: Spy Ballon

It's now over Asheville NC ... If it's allowed to exit US air space without any action to seize it . Or they totally destroy it making it unrecoverable there will be serious questions that will never be answered to the general public , EVER !

we're all just rats on the wheel .

I bet there’s a laptop floating around the FBI headquarters that could answer that last question…probably multiple foreign oligarchs that have an idea too. Say what you want about the previous admin, this crap would have never happened. The Chinese would have never tried it.

Re: Spy Ballon

I'm sure they knew about this balloon as soon as it went into air space. The true story could be anything from diplomatic concerns (???) to "I thought you took care of it"*

My cousin lives in North Carolina and just sent me a pic. Not very impressive but this is it.

It’s out of range or my BIL would have shot it down

Re: Spy Ballon

why not just fly by and put a couple rounds into it ? Nope they have to shoot it down with a rocket and destroy anything that could have been recovered . Another cover up .

Too little to late as usual, it got what it needed and taken down offshore, that'll make it easy for recovery? Shaking my head

Never pass up an opportunity to target practice. Now they'll know what to do to the next one BEFORE it crosses into US air space.

Of course I do not know about things this high level up from me ,, but I do remember playing tag and the sooner you spotted some one you ran back to the spot and tagged them ..

it does seem to me that the tagging should of been done on our western side of the unitied states instead the eastern side when the president okayed shooting it down.. China gets what they wanted we crossed the whole nation of USA and says ,,yeah go ahead and shoot it down ,, were done..

Okay I'm hoping this was American kids with a fun balloon project and all they could unfortunately. buy was Chinese parts....
makes me think if biden had order not to shoot down the balloon over his garage with his Corvette inside,
I understand I wouldn't want my garage crushed also.

I'd expect that the US had a jammer aimed at it the whole time. Us common folks won't be told one way or the other about that, though.
