Re: LMC parts?

There's several cheaper places and board vendors here that have quality items. LMC is known for having cheap quality items, but a kickarse catalog.

Re: LMC parts?

Full Disclosure: I live in Lenexa, Ks. -- 10 minutes away from LMC.

You will hear a lot of guys gripe about LMC, but I've been pleased with everything I bought there. Having said that, there are several parts vendors that support this forum. They may not always be the cheapest around but for the most part own these trucks themselves and choose quality over just being cheap.

Re: LMC parts?

I would advise to buy rubber parts elsewhere IMHO.

Re: LMC parts?

For one reference.... I was looking at a rear stepside fender from LMC. Based on their catalog it looked like it was going to cost 625 bucks to get it. I got one at a show (new) for 360 bucks. Granted that was a sale and I didn't pay shipping, but the point still applies.

Re: LMC parts?

If you know what you're looking for and certain products that are made by the same manufacturer no matter who you buy from, go for it. sometimes they're the only place that has what you want. I've gotten some things from them and never had a problem...

Re: LMC parts?

For me they're cheaper most of the time but hen they add a straight 10% for shipping which usually kills the deal. I have yet to order anything from them because of that. But their catalog and website are awesome!

LMC---Lots More Crap (from China). And the truck they use in the commercial...the one they say they built in that commercial? It was actually done by Jared Zimmerman and Lou Santiago.

Re: LMC parts?

As a general eule, I don't buy anything from LMC that I need to be high quality.

When I need quality, Classic Heartbeat or GMCPauls.

If I need an acceptable part that doesn't have to be oem spec, classic parts.

Re: LMC parts?

I used them and 90% of the parts were fine and customer service was fine. I got some damaged parts in shipping and they sent me new ones no problems

I also live close by. I have had poor luck with their parts lately. Sometimes they are OK for drivers but poor show quality. Of al things the carpeting is really bad. We can save on shipping but the Kansa sales tax is almost 10n percent now. I prefer Classic Parts. (Chevy Duty).
