Re: i've finally started

good lord! i've never welded a patch before in my life and i could have done better than that! i think the best way for them to make it right is too pay another shop to do it over right. that's nearly the saddest thing i've seen. i feel for ya man! with the help on this sight, you really should try and fix all of that yourself and save all the cash you spend on labor. you can practice on some of your old parts and get the hang of it before you actually do something on your cab. like one of the previous posters mentioned, that labor would buy a nice welder! Just my $.02...

This is one reason I want to do this myself; no one cares for your stuff like you do. I could never afford to pay a person to do it right.

Re: i've finally started

yup its because we have 3 vehicles not currently running and for some reason your only allowed one i have to to get rid of all extra parts, the bed has to be bolted on and and i can only have one cab on the ground ( i have a toyota cab also that back there for another project) its all in the back of our yard, this has totaly shot my plan as i had money coming in 3 weeks to a month and planed on sand blasting the frame, but i guess its a cheap rust converter and paint for now until we get the shop built

Re: i've finally started

Bring me that cab and I'll repair it for you to uphold the image of decent bodymen. Obviously the shop took you for a ride on that deal. I have seen newby "body men" produce work 10x better than that with a torch and coat hangers. If you need help on the cab, let me know, most of it is really simple. Don't get discouraged, there is always plenty of other stuff to refurb while waiting to get the cab straightened out.
