67 Plain Jane C10

I just picked up this very plain '67 C10, in Scottsdale, AZ. One owner. 57,000 miles. It runs and drives very nice. 2 Build sheets in the seat. It even had a Heater Delete, although a dealer installed one. Built on 9/15/1966 in Fremont, CA and delivered to Fletcher Jones Chevrolet in Phoenix, AZ

I'm looking for: 4 stock hub cabs, fawn vinyl seat cover and stock drivers door mirror.

Thanks for any help on any leads.

It's got carpet, it's fancy.

Love that SPID!

Re: 67 Plain Jane C10

Yea, along with the cowboy seat cover, it had a carpet kit sitting on the stock rubber floor mat. I already took it apart looking for treasure. The only treasures found were the build sheets, the heater delete panel for the dash and a rolled up towel full of tools.

I also laid down the spare tire. The mirrors are next to go and maybe the rear bumper if I can find a used painted stock one.

It's funny that the only option on the SPID is a delete.

Re: 67 Plain Jane C10

very nice. what are your plans for it? that would be a great one to just clean up and put back the factory correct parts like hub caps, mirrors, amd some white stripe tires.

Re: 67 Plain Jane C10

That is pretty much the plan.

I have already found a factory light yellow mirror arm for the driver's door. I'm searching for the stock hub caps and a painted rear bumper.

The tires are like new, or else I would have already had white walls installed. It runs really well, but is geared a little low. I may go to a taller rear tire. If I do, I'll give it a slight rubber rake, with thin white walls.

I'm trying to find the right seat cover, but nobody makes a '67 replacement cover in Fawn. I found somebody that'll make it with the correct factory embossed vinyl, but for $650. I'm on the fence on spending that much. My friends are telling me to do the Mexican blanket thing, so for now I have two black Harbor Freight shipping blankets.

I'm going to the Long Beach Hi-Performance Swap Meet tomorrow, maybe I'll find some stuff there.

Re: 67 Plain Jane C10

I spent $135 today at the LB swap meet. 2 mirror arms $20. Spare tire holder and battery tray $5 for both. 215/70R15 and 235/75R15 used white walls mounted and balanced $110.

I only mounted the driver's side mirror. The tires and mirror make a huge improvement.

Re: 67 Plain Jane C10

wow killer deals and i agree looks great! there are a few sets of painted 67 caps on ebay right now, but they are all pretty pricey... the $275 set would be a great buy...

Looks like it has everything for heat under the hood. Looks like you picked up a really nice truck. Keep it OE> But guess you will not need heat there.

He stated it had a dealer installed heater. The factory delete would still be on the spid

My bad. Did not see that. Most likely he will not need it in California.

Re: 67 Plain Jane C10

I bought it in Scottsdale. It was always an Arizona truck. I'm not sure when the dealer installed the heater, but it was decades ago. Personally I think having a defroster is more valuable.
