2nd row seats

I'm normally in the 47-59 area but I have a question for here. I would like to know if second row bucket seats from a 2000-2007 Suburban will bolt into a 2001 Suburban that had a 2nd row bench seat. I don't know if the floors are different. Thanks.

Re: 2nd row seats

Be careful picking the donor. Some of the 2000 SUV chassis were GMT400 variants.
The T420 Tahoe, T430 Yukon, and T435 Escalade were produced through 2000.
The T410 Chevy and T425 GMC Suburbans ended production in 1999.

I would think that the T800 Suburban would have the same centre floor pan regardless of the 2nd row seat option to make assembly faster.
Check the aftermarket carpet options. If they call for a different carpet depending on the 2nd row seating option then the floor pan is likely different.

Re: 2nd row seats

Thanks, I will check that. I got a 2001 Chevy Suburban 2500 3/4 ton. I'm not even sure the buckets were an option that year on Suburbans. I think on the Yukon. I have seen the buckets on a little newer ones though.

Re: 2nd row seats

The shorter SUV might have a different floor pan even on the T800 variants.
You may want to take a good close look at where the bolts come through the floor of your Suburban with the bench and take some pictures to compare to the underside of the donor rig.

I don't recall renting one with bucket 2nd row seats. I believe some of the Yukons and Tahoes did but not the T800 & T900 Suburbans. They all seemed to have the 60:40 folding bench IIRC.

Re: 2nd row seats

I don't know know if this would be any help...but on my old 2002 tahoe I sold a while back...it came with only the middle bench, no 3rd row. when I pulled the rear carpet, it had the holes already there for a stock 3rd row...just had to pull the plugs and cut out the carpet holes for the bolts. I'm guessing if you pulled that carpet up on any of the 2001-2006 the holes should already be there for any stock seat option.
