OEm dealer paperwork

On this new C10 I just got, it came with the original dealership paperwork when it was purchased in 1970. It looks like the pages have been laminated. On one of the pieces, there is a metal tag on the back of one. Can you guys tell me what this is? The metal tag is behind the top of the pink page.

Re: OEm dealer paperwork

It is called a Protect-o-plate.

If you search Protect-o-plate in the search function here on the forum,
Lots of cool threads will show up

Re: OEm dealer paperwork

They are cool to have. I had one on a 72 I bought from the 3rd owner. A friend bought a well documented 69 camaro SS with one. I looked it up on a Google search and we got the org owners phone number. He was able to talk with him and got some really nice copies of photos when his car was nearly new. Documentation is great.
