WTB 69 GMC rearview mirror

Looking for this type of rearview mirror. I would like an original in good condition.

I may be mistaken, but that looks like a 66 and earlier mount.

You know I'm not sure, this truck is a time capsule though. I really don't think that anything on it is not original. I bought it with the rearview mirror missing. I just want to make it original again.

Is that some sort of protective covering on the visors? Like my mothers dining room chairs?

Yes it is a protective cover, it even came with a little business card tucked in there from the company that made it. Pretty cool.

If 1969 GMCs were equipped the same as Chevys, the inside rearview mirror was a option at least on 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. Not sure about the half tons. It appears you have a 3/4 ton from your signature. Therefore, the mirror type you have, correct for the year or not, may have been installed by the dealer prior to, or after, delivery using stock on hand. If the mirror was installed at the factory and if GMCs and Chevys were handled the same, the mirror should be listed on the SPID. I can't say which style is correct since I didn't install a mirror on my 69 Chevy until 1972 when I installed the then correct windshield mount type.

Is the manufacturer of the visor covers Fingerhut? The material appears the same as seat covers sold by them at the time to preserve new upholstery. The company still exists but seat covers are a small part of its sales.

Re: WTB 69 GMC rearview mirror

Thank you for that info, I was unaware that could be a dealer installed option. I was just hoping to make the truck correct, it is very original and a survivor. The truck is across town, I'll have to check later on the company that made the visor covers.
