Steering column issue

Hello, I am currently rebuilding my 3 speed non tilt column from my 70 C10 and I am unable to get the lower bushing all the way in. My stack up is right based off my pictures when I took it apart but now it will not go all the way in. Any ideas?

Re: Steering column issue

not suppose to go in all the way, you might have the last piece in backwards, I can`t see the end of that piece

You are correct. I had the lower bushing in backwards. I'm an idiot.

Re: Steering column issue

My next question is where does the plastic thrust washer and rubber ring go? I missed it in my picture taking when I disassembled it. Epic failure on my part I know.

Never mind. I figured it out when I assembled it.
