Sand blasted and Kirker epoxy primer. Easy to touch up.

I used Tractor supply Oil based Enamel Tractor paint with the catalyst hardener and thinned it to shoot thru a cheap harbor freight gun for less than $100.00 . Apply over primer or direct to metal . It works great also can be touched up with a spray can . it's tough stuff when dried .

I used satin chassis saver on my K20. Wire wheeled the whole frame, cleaned it up with prep solv, and then brushed the chassis saver on. It’s not as clean looking as being sprayed but, reading online the consensus was that brushed was more durable than sprayed. I would/will definitely use it again. Brakekleen doesn’t phase it.

As for what I used to apply the paint. For the POR15 I used disposable brushes from Harbor Freight. I allowed me to work the POR into the areas that are hard to spray. For the top coat just a cheap spray gun from Harbor Freight
