1972 K10 wheels?

Hi,
I have a 1972 K10 I'm trying to get back to a little more stockish appearance. I want to get some steel wheels that will accept the factory dog dish hubcaps. I haven't had any luck finding originals so I'm looking at new. I want to use 31x10.5 tires. Does anyone know what size wheel I would need and what back spacing? Thanks.

This should be a good place to start

Re: 1972 K10 wheels?

I noticed the description said these wheels were for 50's and 60's trucks but also that there are only 3 nubs shown - which indicates non-disk wheels (if we were looking at original GM wheels, that is). It could just be a stock photo and they are perfectly fine (I kinda doubt anyone makes a new wheel that doesn't clear a stock caliper nowadays), but might be worth confirming with the mfgr beforehand that the inner wheel profile clears a 71/72 disk brake caliper on the outside chance that the made exact duplicates of the pre-71 6 lug C/K10 wheels.

Good catch jocko, I haven’t dealt with the 6 lug wheel vintiques but I know a lot of people run the 8 lug wheels. The ones in the link I posted are 15x8 so they look like factory wheels but aren’t quite.

Re: 1972 K10 wheels?

On the summit racing website they are shown on a 1973 k5 blazer which would tell me they would fit no problem. However several customer comments say they don't fit their trucks with out spacers.

Re: 1972 K10 wheels?

I just talked to a sales guy a Wheel Vintiques. They will make their wheels in any backspacing for an additional $25 a wheel and the 3 nub vs 4 nub isn't an issue with the Wheel Vintiques. What was the backspacing for the factory 15x8 6 lug 4x4 steel wheels with disk brakes. Thanks for any help.

Re: 1972 K10 wheels?

I know the full wheel covers snap on to the 15's on my 72. Pretty sure they are 15x7 with 31/10.5. Wheels are next gen rally's i believe.
