Scored a Hickey winch

You never know what's still out there, this showed up on Craigslist the other day and ended up being just a 5 minute drive down the road from me. its not a Sidewinder but a worm gear drive, probably made by Ramsey or Tulsa but its not as wide. Its still meant to fit between the frame rails and behind the stock bumper.

Re: Scored a Hickey winch

Great score Rob. I don't remember them offering those, but my guess is they were offering them before coming out with the Sidewinder design. I think I'd rather have this one. My first thought when I saw it was Ramsey, but Tulsa is just as likely. Let me know when you find one for me... Thanks!

Tim, I don't remember this style either but I believe its a much better design than the Sidewinder.

Re: Scored a Hickey winch

I'd think it would "spool" better. Great piece o' 4wd history. I love vintage 4wd (and know you do,too). I wish there could be a museum like there is for about any other automotive segment.

Re: Scored a Hickey winch

Are you sure that fits behind the bumper and between the frame. It looks way to big to me. It looks just like the Ramsey I have on my trailer, they are really stout, I broke 2 warns before getting this s one
