1970 C10 frame damage
Hey guys,
So I was replacing the radiator in my truck last year when I found some frame damage. The damage is directly under the radiator to the point that the bracket for the radiator is missing. It is pretty twisted and I am unable to re-attach a new mount to the frame. I will try to add a picture to the thread later. I wanted to upgrade the brakes and suspension etc on my truck in the future. So, with this damage I was looking at complete chassis kits vs repairing what I have now. I wanted a fun handling truck and may consider trying an auto-x track although I don't have the time to do this regularly. I am looking for opinions based on those who have been down this road before. At what point is it cheaper to go to a full chassis kit? How far will a modified frame take you? Has anyone tried selling a truck with a full chassis kit - was it easier or harder (nice to know if I ever needed to sell it that I would be able to)? Thanks in advance! Jon. |

Re: 1970 C10 frame damage
I would suggest a trip to the suspension section and read the "Make it handle " thread to start.
