Post 4x4 shift lever

Has anyone had the bolt that holds the 4 wheel drive shift lever in place on the transfer case break. mine broke and do I have to drop the tranny and t-case to extract the broke off bolt or do you guys know of a easier way

i would think you could unbolt the high hump and maybe get to it, i dunno im going ot try to put my shift lever in like that tomarow

Yea i had it happen to me but i was lucky.
My threads were sticking out just far enough to grab with a small vise grips. With the head of the bolt broken off the threads were not in very tight.
