Paint questions

I haven't been on here in forever and can't find what I'm after in the search bar. Approx how much base and clear will it take to do a 77 swb in a solid color? I was figuring 5qt as that's about what my 68 took but this truck has a bedined bed I'm leaving as is and a little extra paint beats not enough. I'm in canada but where are y'all getting your paint from as well? TIA

Re: Paint questions

I just painted my 65 G10 van with with the Valspar industrial version which makes 1.5 gallons of paint when mixed up. Even though I figure 8'd back to the starting point 3 times with re-tints. I have 3 coats on it with a comfortable. 6 gallons left of the base mix. So a total .8 gallons roughly of mixed paint left.

So a gallon of mixed paint should should do you up pretty good.

My paint is single stage.
