Tailgate
Had a mishap this weekend with my 01 Silverado now need to replace tailgate ,found one from an 08 on marketplace but anyone know if its going to fit.

GM produced the T800 & the T900 chassis in 2007.
They called the 2007 GM T800 chassis "Classic". There's no doubt a way to tell using the VIN but I don't know what it is.

So this would include the GMC line I found a GMC 20OO with a good gate about 50 miles away

The GMC 2500 series I was looking at had a different lower body line it was only like 1 1/2" from bottom of gate to the bodyline mine is like 3 or 4 " wide

Good luck in your search.
Took me a few months of searching, but i found one on marketplace, in the correct color, but had to drive 100 miles to get it. Luckily i was headed that direction. In the process, my Sierra became a Silverado
