Re: Project 67 C-10

well i think i'm leaning with silver base coat with pagan gold over it. got my extra rotor i've been waiting on now just have to paint that up with the vht paint and bake them and i can have the frame rolling. Picking up a late 80's early 90's 1500 chevy fgor the axle and brake booster and engine brackets and sterring box. Should get that soon just damn snow keeps screwing up everything. We got 7" of ice on some of the lakes around here and we usually only get about 5 and thats only for a fw weeks at the end of february. it's damn cold.

Picked up a load of pallets last weekend and spent the rest of the day cutting them up for firewood. Got the rotors all nice and finished and cleaned up the turbo 400 and painted t as well as the pan.

Re: Project 67 C-10

The paint looks great! That hammered look sets of the pan just right and the textured paint on the trans is cool, just bought a can to spray my a/c box.

Re: Project 67 C-10

yeah the paint came out pretty good. the tranny was supposed to be rebuilt so i just cleaned it up and hit it with some paint. I didn't want to put a new pan on it if it didn't end up being good so just gonna throw a front seal and filter in it and see what happens.

Motor and tranny in now wahoo. mount. Only issue is not sure if i'm suppose to run a spacer uner the ranny to tranny mount. Ther was a piece about 3/8 tick that was there with the stock rubber mount but not sure with the poly Painted some stuff. Need to change the intake today and work on how to fit the fuel cell.

Packed the bearings tonight and hung the rotors and calipers. As a side note for myself, what is the tourque spec for the spindle nut?

Re: Project 67 C-10

retourqued the rotors. all the shocks are bolted in, spacer is in under the tranny so motor is sitting at 3.5 degrees, spent some time gasket matching the intake too. Also did a little fiberglass repair on the ac duct box. get the tourque wrench this weekend and the motor will be buttoned up, just have to find a 750 holley at the swap meet in april and should run minus distributor.
total hours: 84 hours

Re: Project 67 C-10

Intake is bolted on and finished fixing and painting the ac boxes. Tranny linkage is all on and put the gas tank under the bed for measurements. Not sure how this is gonna be with ground clearance. right now with just the motor no cab or bed i got 8" to the back of the sump area. We'll see. Oh and the new Wurth calendar came in alrighty.
