Tahoe/Suburban 3rd Row Seats-Same? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Wondering if the removable 3rd row seats from the 2001-2006 GMT800 Tahoes and Suburbans are the same? Meaning, will a set of 3rd row seats from a 2005 Tahoe fit in the 3rd row position in a 2004 or 2006 Suburban? Are the catches/latches all the same thru the years? It would make sense to be compatible but then one can't always apply common sense when dealing with vehicle manufacturers, can one, LOL.

I'm with you. They should be mechanically compatible but that's just my thought on the matter. GM might have a different opinion, they often do.

Just checked on Car-part.com and they don't list Yukon XL seats when I search for Suburban or Tahoe seats and vice versa.
They also didn't list Cadillac Escalade seats in either search.
They did list GMC Envoy seats along with GMC Yukon & Yukon XL seats.

The upholstery may be slightly different between the Chevy and GMC since GMC is a slightly upmarket trim and options package.

I'd talk to a local salvage yard you do business with and ask them to look it up in the Hollander interchange. It's unlikely you're the only one that's thought about this.
