I like that first pic. It almost looks like a custom flame job.

I paid $24k, and it was a steal. Numbers matching, original Texas survivor with just 46k miles in fantastic condition. All stock with the exception of later year Rallyes, but I love them. Original paint, except for inside the bed, and the top of the bedsides above the white. Verified with a paint gauge.
She's a Cheyenne Super, A/C, PS, PB, 350V8, TH350 Auto.

Had to have the carb adjusted, and new exhaust, but other than that she runs like a dream. Probably will go the way @Rich72C10 did and totally re-do the front suspension and maybe add the front sway bar. I'm keeping her as stock as possible, not cutting her down, no LS swap... Survivor she stays...

Oh and she's insured for $30k with Hagerty. No appraisal needed.

Good looking truck, looks exactly like mine, except my is a Cheyenne and not a super.

1973 and paid $2,800 for a shortbed '72 Highlander 402 off an OK Used Cars lot. This first of many 67-72 trucks to follow

Re: When did you purchase your Truck and How much?

I bought/stole this 1972 Cheyenne from a coworker for 3k. All original 350/th350, PS, PB with 74k miles. I reupholstered the seat and put in new carpet, changed the leaky master cylinder and radiator. Runs and drives great. Her name is Maynard.

Re: When did you purchase your Truck and How much?

I only had 4 requirements on the trucks I picked to build

1967
factory short bed
clean Tn title
no rust above the dash level and I ended up fixing one of those

I bought builders

Black truck $550.00

multi colored blue truck $500.00

end cost parts and materials ?

Re: When did you purchase your Truck and How much?

In April of 2017, my buddy was paid by the original owner's son, to haul it off to scrap with his wrecker truck. It was nonrunning since the father passed in 1996. I saw it behind my buddy's shop as he was trying to figure out what to do with it, thought it was too good to scrap. I told him I may be interested in it if he was getting rid of it. The next day after work, it was sitting in my driveway. He didn't want anything for it, but I forced him to take $500 and a bottle of Patron. He gave the money to his daughters and kept the Patron.

We tore it down in the summer of 2018, had to take a year and a half off, and just started putting it back together this past January.

The first picture is behind my buddy's shop, the second is the day he dropped it off and the third is state it's in now. It's gonna be my son's truck.

Re: When did you purchase your Truck and How much?

$19k in 2019 for my 2 tone K20.

$5500 for my Bronze K20 in February of 2021.

Scored both rust free CA Cheyennes after endless searching daily for years. When you are searching, they can seem impossible to come by now adays.

Re: When did you purchase your Truck and How much?

You all have some pretty trucks!

Purchased 3/29/95 for $2200 looking pretty much the same way it is now except I took out the 250-6 and got rid of the three on the tree in favor of a 350/350 combination.

Re: When did you purchase your Truck and How much?

So more insurance than 30k for ChevyGuyNC's truck? I ask since my truck is similar to his, though mine isn't a Super (perhaps that allows for a bigger jump). I am currently insured for 25k - though to get more though my carrier I have to get a appraisal.

Re: When did you purchase your Truck and How much?

Bought my 72 C-10 short stepside in 2014 for $600. No engine or trans, but good frame.Replaced rockers, cab corners, door skins & both front fenders. Repaired back stepside fenders. Already had a good old school 350 & a TH 350trans to put in it.
