Re: Finished Mowing the lawn look what I found

the truck is a late 39 or 40 GMC. the turnsignals are 39 to 40. If the dash has round gauges its a 39. If its a rectangle speedo then its 40.

Re: Finished Mowing the lawn look what I found

It's a 39. That's like the 48 Ford car I found in my field next to a 49 chevy car. The ford I will slap $100 on and haul off to a swap meat. The chevy I want to restore but idk if it will happen. Wish I had found a truck. I do plan on diving a hole on a scrap pile in a ditch so maybe I will get lucky.

Re: Finished Mowing the lawn look what I found

It's a 1940 GMC. 1940 was the first year of sealed beam headlights and they moved the turn signal lights to the fender. Also the wide upper grill molding is a 1940 item. Like docrock said the guages are round in a '39 and rectanglular in a '40.
Nice find!!
